The reason why I changed now from Canon DSLR to Sony Mirrorless... After 10 years of using Canon cameras I decided to buy 2 Sony A7 IV cameras. I'll try to explain to you here why I did it. First of all, it is not due to the image quality or the camera performance. In 2022 I would also shoot with an SLR instead of a mirrorless camera. My first camera was the 500D, then came the 5D MK II. My absolute favorite camera. The Canon cult model...
From that point on it was clear for me to walk away from Canon, I think it's really bad that Canon needs something like this. It basically leaves its own customers in the lurch.
For me, the switch from SLR to mirrorless was even cheaper when switching to Sony, since Canon had also introduced a new bayonet with its mirrorless models. Unfortunately, the new lenses have also become more expensive here... The MC-11 adapter lets me use all Sigma Art lenses with my new Sony A7 IV cameras without any loss of quality.
To be honest, i havent't been in the mountains with the A7 but i testet the autofocus with MC-11 and it's super fast and reliable. So I'm happy with the new Setup, looking forward for the Outdoor season 2022. The lenses i use from Sigma are the Sigma 14mm 1.4, Sigma 20mm F1.4, Sigma35mm F1.4, Sigma 50mm F1.4, Sigma 85mm F1.4, Sigma 105mm F1.4
